Art in a Heart – 'Gate to Summer'
When spring arrives after a long winter I love how everything start to wake up, the hedgerows in bud, daffodils and crocus. Then summer, when a multitude of flowers and colours burst into life. I love finding undisturbed areas of wild flowers whilst out walking - poppies, forget-me-nots, foxgloves. No matter what is going on in the world, they still jump into life each year full of the joy of summer.
I used crushed glass, sheet glass and a little enamel to create this heart, a little bit of summer captured.
