Hidden Beauty
In nature what appears to be a simple rock can conceal a beautiful crystal bearing geode within. 'Hidden Beauty' is inspired by this concealed beauty and the textures and colours hidden from view.
This larger wall panel is my interpretation of some of natures geodes. Using sheet glass, crushed glasses, oxide reactions and metallic highlights to create the details of the geode. The piece is then mounted away from the wall to allow light through and around the glass highlighting the facets and colours and textures created.
This panel comes mounted on a white backboard for clarity, but if you wish this can be removed and the fixings screwed directly into a wall or suitable surface, still keeping the glass offset.
Glass panel size is approx: 305 x 305mm
Overall size with backboard approx: 365 x 365 x 42mm
This glass panel comes wrapped in acid free tissue paper and tied with ribbon. All packaged well for delivery.
